I have been very fortunate to have a building to house my entire snake collection in. It can comfortably hold several hundred snakes!!! It is insulated with heavy foam board as well as 6 inch fiberglass insulation.
It holds heat well and stays at a constant temperature year round. I like the temperature to stay between 84 and 90. For the last 10 years, I have heated the building. I have not once used heat tape or heating pads. I actually took the heat tape off my racks!!!
I have bred and hatched hundreds of snakes in the building. Below are a few pics of my rack systems!
